Get excited for a day of Canadian-filled celebrations brought to you by the Consulate General of Canada and Canadian Club!

Canada Day in Hong Kong is celebrating its 150th anniversary with three major events: the Canada 150 Celebrity Pancake Brunch, VIP Celebration Dinner, and Celebration Party. All celebrations will be held at Shore Steak Lounge Terrace on 1 July. Consul General of Canada to HK and Macao Jeff Nankivell is proud to say that he will be taking part in the brunch, dinner, and party that day to join in on the festivities. Sponsors for these events include: Consulate General of Canada in Hong Kong & Macao/Consulat général du Canada Canadian Club Hong Kong, Crafted852, Thirsty Brothers, Shore restaurant & bar, Playdays, and CIHL Elite Ice Hockey. Online registration can be found at this link.

The Celebrity Pancake Brunch will run from 10:30AM – 2:00PM, kicking off the morning with delicious Canadian breakfast favourites such as pancakes, bagels, beavertail, waffles, toast, bacon, sausages, eggs and maple syrup. Special guest pancake flippers include Brian Brown (Managing Director at British Columbia Trade & Investment Representative Office), Derrick Lee (President of the Canadian Chamber of Commerce), Mark Cholewka (Managing Director at Shore Hospitality), and Andrew Work (President of Canadian Club). Registration for the brunch is now closed due to overcapacity, but there is an open waiting list that you can add your name to by e-mailing Fiona Chow at [email protected].

Although the Celebrity Brunch is sold out, both the dinner and party are going strong! The VIP Celebration Dinner, which will present guests with a Canadian Culinary Experience prepared Chef Nolan Ledarney of Crafted 852, who was a former chef de cuisine at the Canadian Embassies of Beijing and Tokyo. The meal will consist of a four course dinner that is paired with specially-picked Canadian wines. Dress code for the event is “Super Casual, Super Canadian”, so feel free to bust out your hockey jerseys, curling sweaters, toques and mukluks for the night.

After the dinner the after party will begin, with Canadian acts DJ Teng Boon and DJ Big James providing the music for the night. Dress code is red and/or white and includes a three hour open bar. This event is definitely one you don’t want to miss, so register for your Early Beaver ticket and get $30 off any of the events by using the code canada2017!
