With regulations for travellers coming to and from Hong Kong changing daily, it can be hard to keep track of the most up-to-date news on entry and exit allowances. Below are a number of the latest updates on international travel; for daily monitoring on travel policies, subscribe to High Tide.

Australia has enforced strict measures for travel, and anyone who is not an Australia citizen or Permanent Resident (and immediate family members) would have to apply for a travel exemption. Travel to and from Austria is also suspended until further notice, with limited exceptions.

Travellers flying to Canada must provide proof of a negative COVID-19 test before boarding their flight. Arrivals from Canada are not allowed entry to Hong Kong, save for some exemptions who would have to provide a negative test and quarantine for 21 days.

Norway introduced just after the New Year that requirement of a negative COVID-19 test and digital registration for all incoming travellers.

Complete entry ban for arrivals from the United Kingdom and South Africa. Special quarantine measures apply for arrivals from both countries.
